Class Description: This ukulele class will be an exciting, fun introduction to playing the ukulele. It is for students ages 10 and up who have always wanted to learn how to play the ukulele. In this class, students will learn how to care for their instruments, as well as tune, strum, play and sing while playing. Students will acquire knowledge about Polynesian culture and the history of the ukulele, but mostly how to play classic and contemporary songs.

Beginner Group Guitar (FULL)

Monday 4:30-5:30

*This class starts Sept. 14th

Class Description: This class is for anyone who wants to learn how to play the acoustic or classical guitar.  We'll have fun learning the basic chords and discover that you only need to know a few in order to play literally hundreds of songs. We'll cover the basics of proper technique, including several strumming and picking patterns. As you progress, you'll find that you're also learning some things about music theory that will apply to any other instrument you may want to learn in the future. By the end of the course, you'll experience the thrill of finding that you can make music all by yourself.

Music Recording and Production

Monday 5:45-6:45

Ages 10+

*This class starts Sept. 21st

Because of the incredible technology we all have access to, anyone can learn how to record and produce music. In this course, we will learn the basics of the recording and mixing songs from start to finish. We'll go through the steps of recording a track and then making that track sound better with processing and effects such as eq, compression, reverb and others. Finally, we'll learn how to make all of those tracks work well together so that each sound and instrument have their own place in the final mix. You'll be amazed at the quality of the songs you can produce with surprisingly little equipment.
