Important Update

Some of you may have heard that Miss Deb has been unwell. She fell ill in December and has not yet fully recovered. Earlier this week, she was admitted to the hospital due to an elevated white blood cell count and other concerning symptoms. Doctors discovered a mass in her lungs, which, combined with her blood count, raised concerns about cancer. Thankfully, a CT scan today confirmed that she does not have cancer! We are incredibly relieved. However, she still has a long journey to full recovery and will be stepping away from directing this semester to focus on her health and regain her strength.

In her absence, we are pleased to welcome Eric Domuret as the director for Bright Star. Miss Deb is confident in entrusting him with the production. Eric directed Bright Star in 2019, winning a Tommy Tune Award. He has directed many productions at Spark over the years with the most recent being Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. We are thrilled to have him on board this semester!

Our original production team—Miss Dana Lewis, Paulina Guerra, and Hunter Chumley—will remain in place.
