Spring Art 2022
Art classes are a 6-week course, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can choose to take a Tuesday class, Thursday class or BOTH!
Tuesday Classes

Charcoal/Drawing (Ages 10+)
When: Session 1 - Feb 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & March 1st and 8th
Tuesdays 5-6pm
Cost: One-time payment of $150 (supply fee included)
Class Description: Students will explore working with different types of charcoal as they apply their skills to figure drawing, landscapes, and abstract projects. Students will need to wear old clothing or bring a large smock (an old large button up shirt works great)
Advanced Mixed Media Ages 10+
When: Session 1- Feb 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & March 1st and 8th
Tuesdays 6-7pm
Cost: One-Time payment of $150 (supply fee included)
Class Description: ADVANCED CLASS. Students will be able to explore a variety of art media as they work on projects of different media.
Best suited for older students who have taken previous art classes at Spark. Students will continue to develop skills as they build on previously learned techniques and media.
Open Studio/Lab Time Ages 10+
When: Session 1-Feb 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & March 1st and 8th
Tuesdays 7-8pm
Cost: $60 (NO supply fee)
Course Description: This is a class time where any art student (except intro to art) can sign up for additional class time. During this open lab time, students can come in, and work on current projects from their other classes. This lab time is an add on class and requires enrollment in another art class this semester.
Thursday Classes
Intro to art Ages 10+
When: Session 1- Feb 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th & March 3rd and 10th
Thursdays 5-6pm
Cost: $150 includes supply fee
Course Description: Students will experiment with various materials and media as they learn some basic art techniques and skills. Concepts covered: acrylic painting techniques, watercolor techniques, types of brushes and uses, types of drawing media, shading/value, a review of elements/principles of design, creative thinking, and practical painting and drawing skills.
Watercolor and Drawing Ages 10+
When: Session 1- Feb 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th & March 3rd and 10th
Thursdays 6-7pm
Cost: $150 including supply fee
