Description: The cast of JTF had the privilege of watching Inspiration Stage present this new work at the Junior Theatre Festival in California in February. We can’t wait to bring “Frozen” to the Spark stage!! Don’t miss this fantastic new musical!!

*Summer production camps are the perfect way to experience theatre! Students will go through the entire process of auditioning for parts, rehearsing blocking, learning dialogue, choreography, and music, as well as staging, working with props and set, and finally, putting on performances for family and friends! We keep the students engaged and busy learning, socializing, and having fun for the full three weeks. Production camps are a participant favorite and will surely be the highlight of your child’s summer! *No experience required


Two Week Camps:

Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin' musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. When Shere Khan returns, our heroes must rally their fellow animals into battle and restore peace throughout the jungle.

Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS has a large ensemble and many strong, featured roles for good singers. Several roles, including Baloo and King Louie, are great for kids with strong comedic skills.

With its poignant story and catchy Caribbean-flavored score, Once on This Island JR. is a highly original theatrical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s popular fairy tale, The Little Mermaid, and the Tony-nominated Broadway musical by the legendary writing team, Ahrens and Flaherty.

Through almost non-stop song and dance, this full-hearted musical tells the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with Daniel, a wealthy boy from the other side of her island. When Daniel is returned to his people, the fantastical gods who rule the island guide Ti Moune on a quest that will test the strength of her love against the powerful forces of prejudice, hatred and even death.

The Emmy Award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series and pop culture phenomenon is now the basis for one of the most fun and easily mounted musicals ever to hit the stage, Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR.

This energetic musical, follows Tom, a young schoolteacher, who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Memorable songs as "Just a Bill," "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction" bring his lesson plans vividly to life.

Description: Shakespeare’s comic fantasy of four lovers who find themselves bewitched by fairies is a sly reckoning with love, jealousy and marriage. For centuries it’s been one of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays. Join us this summer for a condensed version of one of Shakespeare’s most popular works!

Frozen Art and Theatre Mini Camp

Description: “Let it Go” and come to Spark for our Frozen mini camp. We take the fun and magic of our production camp and condense it into a shorter, age appropriate camp for our young artists. Add in Frozen inspired art projects and you have a camp you don’t want to miss!

Description: Are you interested in performing but lack the confidence or experience to take the plunge? This is the class for you! Intro to theatre will guide you step-by-step through the basics of the world of theatre. Learn theatre terminology, basic acting skills, and more, in a comfortable, low pressure environment. After completing this camp, you will be prepared to take the next step in participating in your very first production!


Princess Ballet Camp

Grease Musical Review

Description: This is the camp you don’t want to miss! We are throwing it way back to the 1950’s through hit songs like "Greased Lightnin'" and "We Go Together,” recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. Starting off with an eight-year Broadway run, Grease is among the world’s most popular musicals and has a cult-like following, especially among teens! This camp will end with a showcase Friday the 12th at 7:00 p.m.

Description: You asked for it - we are bringing it to you! Many of our younger students have fallen in love with Shakespeare as they have watched the teens in our Shakespeare program perform in Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Much ado About Nothing and Twelfth Night. This camp will break things down to a beginning level and help kids to grasp and understand the brilliant writing of William Shakespeare. This camp ends in a small class presentation at the end of class on the last day.

Auditioning is one of the greatest hurdles that every young actor will have to learn to overcome. The very idea of an audition can keep many students from having amazing experiences and achieving their personal potential. Prepare for the upcoming semester with this Audition clinic!  Students will learn valuable techniques and polish their skills. We will arrange for students to have professional headshots taken, help them with creating a resume and putting together their “repertoire” book! The session will end with constructive mock audition with a panel of professionals!

Choreography Workshop

Description: Do you struggle with learning choreography? Many of our theatre students have admitted that dancing is their weakest point when it comes to musical theatre. Many artists “missed the boat” on taking dance lessons and now feel too behind to develop in this area of performing. During this choreography workshop, students will learn to master many of the basic steps that are used in oodles of shows. Spend the week getting comfortable with your two left feet!
