Beauty and the Beast (K-8th grade)

Be our Guest this summer at Spark!  In this three week camp, students will take on the beloved musical, Disney's Beauty and the Beast.  This is the perfect musical for newcomers to the stage and seasoned performers alike.  With a large ensemble cast and several featured roles, each child will have his chance to light up the stage. 

What to expect: 

Students will come to rehearsal from 10-4 p.m. each day.  Please bring a lunch, snacks, and water bottles.  Snacks and beverages are available for purchase at Spark.  The first day will be spent getting to know one another, learning a song and short dance number, and participating in an audition.  By day two, each child enrolled in the camp will be cast in our show.  We will begin learning the show for the remainder of the first two weeks.  In week three we will hold tech rehearsals where the cast will work with lighting, costumes, and props.  At the end of week three we will perform two to four shows for an audience.

Moana Art and Musical Theatre Camp

June  12th-16th 9 a.m. -11 a.m. Ages 4-7

Taught By:  Katie Macaluso

In this camp the kids will get to sing and dance to all of their favorite songs from Moana, "You're Welcome," "How far I'll Go," "Shiny," and more!  Students will also create arts and crafts involving their favorite characters from the show.  

What to Expect: 

In this camp students will get to learn music and age appropriate choreography to all of our favorite songs from Moana.  Classes are only two hours in the mornings so these budding artists can be at their best.  We will split the time between musical theatre and art.  At the end of this camp, our littlest performers will take the stage for a short presentation of what they have learned.

Is your little one always singing, dancing, and entertaining? This camp is for the pint sized performer who can't wait to be on stage!  The tiniest people have the biggest personalities. 

What to Expect: 

In this camp students will get to learn music and age appropriate choreography to all of our favorite songs from Beauty and the Beast.  Classes are only two hours in the mornings so these budding artists can be at their best.  At the end of this camp, our littlest performers will take the stage for a short showcase of what they have learned.  Get your cameras ready, this will not disappoint.

You ain't never had a friend like me!  Come away to Agrabah with this timeless classic musical.  This musical production camp is full of laughs and fun.  Filled with favorite characters like the Genie, Aladdin, Jasmine,  and Jafar, combined with an ensemble of marketplace hawkers, gymnasts, wrestlers, bread-sellers, fishmongers, belly dancers, beggars,  puppeteers, royal guards, and more, there is sure to be a place for everyone.  Don't miss Spark's premier production of Aladdin!

Aladdin Prop and Set Design

June 26th-30th 4:30-6:30 p.m. Ages 10+

Do you love to work with your hands to create?  Have you always wanted to be a part of the magic that goes on behind the scenes in theatre?  Join us for this one week camp.  Students will work with out set and prop design team and will work together to create the backdrop and props for our summer production of Aladdin.

What to expect: 

Students need to be ready to get their hands (and clothes) dirty!  Please wear clothing appropriate for painting.  Each afternoon our brand new team of designers will meet to plan and execute aspects of our production.  At the end of the camp, each student will get free tickets for himself and two parents (or friends) to come and see the sh

Romeo & Juliet

Back by popular demand....Romeo & Juliet!

Students will be introduced to William Shakespeare's work in this abridged version specifically edited for young performers. We will use original language but set the show in a modern setting. In this two week production camp, students will audition, learn the language, rehearse and then experience Shakespeare's classic play the way it was intended...by performing in front of a live audience.

Wickedly Wonderful Wiz

Michael Jackson Glee

August 7th-11th 1-4 p.m.

Spend a week singing and dancing to hits from the King of Pop!  In this camp we will learn choreography and music made popular by the legend, Michael Jackson.  Students will learn vocal technique and how to pick out harmonies and sing with a group.  At the end of the week students will perform on stage in a mini showcase.

Do you love everything Dr. Seuss? This is the musical for you!  With truffula trees, pillberry bushes, clovers, whoville, a host of wacky characters and upbeat songs, there is never a dull moment!  Finish off the summer with this fun-loving production of Seussical.

Improv Workshop

Ages 12+ Join us for an acting workshop THIS Saturday at Spark!  

Students will spend the day participating in variety of improvisation games and activities.  They will learn to channel and develop creativity, think on their feet, and work as a team.  Actors will finish off the day on stage performing in groups for their peers!
