HOW DO I RECORD MY VIDEO?

You can record your video with ease on an iphone. Please choose a clear backdrop, ie: in front of a blank wall or fireplace not in front of your bed. It is best to record your video in a place that is quiet and free from background noise.


How do I share my video?

The easiest way to share your video is through youtube or on google drive. You can upload the video to youtube or google drive and then share the link with inspire@sparktx,org.

WHat do i put on my resume?

Providing a resume is a great way to give our directors more information about you! It is helpful to know what shows you have been in, list any training you have had (dance, voice, etc), and any kind of special skills like playing an instrument, doing a back-handspring, juggling, etc. Directors often utilize students special skills to provide fun featured opportunities in the production, PLEASE SEND YOUR RESUME WITH YOUR VIDEO AUDITION

What if I’m new to theater and I don’t have anything to put on my resume?

At Spark we have all levels of theater and everyone has to start somewhere! If you are new, it is okay! You can still fill out a resume and include special skills, hobbies, and even things that you are interested in learning. If you do not feel comfortable creating a resume, you can simply fill out an audition form and indicate that you are brand new to theater in the additional information section.

Do I have to provide a headshot?

It is very helpful to provide a headshot. This will help the directors remember names and faces. With a video audition it is optional to send a headshot.

How to Slate:

A slate is an introduction that states your name, age, and the titles of the pieces you will be performing for your audition.
